Research Progress on All-solid-state Electrochemical Gas Sensors Based on the Mixed Potential Principle

  • The all-solid-state electrochemical gas sensors based on the principle of mixed potential feature miniaturization, low cost, easy integration, and excellent mechanical and temperature stability. It plays a significant role in intelligent perception in multiple scenarios such as industrial safety, environmental monitoring, and medical and health care. Firstly, analyze the research progress on the mechanism of all-solid-state electrochemical gas sensors based on the principle of mixed potential, and sort out the research and development progress of solid electrolyte materials / sensitive electrode materials for the detection requirements of different application scenarios. Secondly, analyze the construction strategy of the three-phase interface of gas-solid electrolyte-sensitive electrode and the innovative design ideas of device structure, and deeply elaborate the multi-application value of the all-solid-state electrochemical gas sensors based on the principle of mixed potential in complex environments. Finally, looking forward to the fundamental scientific issues and technical challenges that need to be urgently broken through in the future, it provides useful references for the development of the next generation of high-performance hybrid potentiometric gas sensors.
