Design and Implementation of the High-integrated Smart Gloves for Virtual Reality Interaction

  • The smart glove is a crucial interactive tool in virtual reality (VR), but its functional integration remains insufficient, making it difficult to simultaneously achieve multiple functions such as posture recognition, force-tactile perception, and virtual force feedback. Based on this, a highly integrated smart glove was designed, incorporating hand posture sensing, force-tactile acquisition, and virtual force feedback modules into a single wearable device. This enables real-time capture of arm and hand movements, collection of force-tactile information during interaction, and immersive virtual force feedback. Experimental results show that the finger bending sensor of the smart glove has an average angle error of only 0. 176°, the arm posture sensor angle error is close to 0°, and the force-tactile sensor's maximum error under different pressure conditions is 2. 08g. These results demonstrate that the smart gloves demonstrate high precision and stability in virtual reality interaction.
